Overview

Wine concentrate kits require a small set of basic equipment to complete fermentation, clarification, and bottling.

Essential Equipment

To make kit wine, you will need:

  • Primary fermenter (food-grade bucket)

  • Carboy (glass or plastic) for secondary fermentation

  • Airlock and stopper

  • Siphon or auto-siphon with tubing

  • Hydrometer (to measure fermentation progress)

  • Sanitizer (critical for preventing contamination)

  • Mixing spoon (long, food-grade)

  • Bottles, corks, and corker

Recommended Starter Kit

We have a winemaking starter kit for VineCo kits, but these can really be used for any 5-6 gallon wine ingredient kit. The only thing missing from this starter kit is the actual wine ingredient kit and some bottles, which you can purchase with us or simply reuse from your store bought wine.
