There are a few reasons why an order may not qualify for free shipping. We try to offer the best deal we can on the items and the shipping itself. In a few instances, where options for shipping are limited, we will have to exempt those items or addresses from our MoreSaver free shipping program. This helps us keep the items prices themselves as low as possible without inflating prices to offer "Free" shipping.
Exempt items:
Glass items, freight only items, 50lb** and larger sacks of grain or additives, 5 gallon pails of cleaners, and exceptionally large items such as the FDA fermenters larger than 22 gallons. Products which do not qualify for free shipping and are designated with "Does Not Ship Free" in the product detail.
These are exempt from our free shipping because they require specific packaging or handling instructions, or are too heavy to ship with a variety of carriers.
**10lb bags of grain ordered in large quantities can be packaged into multiple boxes and will therefore ship for free.
Once a single package is over 50lbs the shipping options become limited and more expensive.
Exempt addresses:
PO boxes are exempt from our free shipping program as only USPS is authorized to deliver to PO boxes.
Addresses in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, and other US territories do not qualify for free shipping.
If there is a typo or error in your address or zip code it may not be recognized by our shipping nor tax calculators.
Split Shipments & Pre-Orders:
If your order contains a mix of in-stock items and pre-order or backordered items, the order will be split into separate shipments.Shipping rates are calculated based on the contents of each individual shipment, not the total value of the original order.
