⚠️ IMPORTANT: Spigots Sold Separately, Plugs Not Included
To give you the most flexibility with your setup, all of our Fusti tanks (Europa and AQ models) are sold as the "Tank & Lid" only. To use your tank, you must add a spigot or a plug to your order. We offer two distinct lines of tanks and matching valves:
The Europa Series (Standard): High-polish, classic Italian stainless steel.
The AQ Series (Pickled): These undergo an extra "pickling" acid bath during manufacturing to remove impurities, offering superior corrosion resistance-ideal for long-term water or wine storage.
1. Match Your Valve to Your Tank
Each series has its own dedicated valve. For a leak-proof seal, match your tank model to the corresponding spigot:
For Europa Tanks: Use the Europa Stainless Steel Valve.
For AQ Tanks: Use the AQ Stainless Steel Valve.
Not Dispensing? If you are using the tank strictly for sealed storage, you will need a Stainless Steel Plug to seal the threaded 1/2" outlet.
2. Why Use a Fusti for Water?
Fustis (Italian for "drums") are the gold standard for potable water storage, kombucha, and iced tea.
304 Stainless Steel: Food-grade, BPA-free, and won't leach chemicals like plastic.
UV Protection: Blocks 100% of light, which prevents algae growth which is a common issue with clear plastic jugs.
Pickled AQ Advantage: The "pickled" finish on AQ models provides the cleanest possible surface for sensitive liquids.
3. Setup & Care Tips
The First Wash: Wash with warm soapy water or PBW before the first use to remove any residual manufacturing oils.
Installation: Hand-tighten your spigot or plug. If you use a wrench, be careful not to over-torque, which can pinch or tear the gasket.
NO BLEACH: Never use chlorine-based cleaners on stainless steel. It will cause "pitting" and permanent rust damage.
Airflow: When storing empty, leave the lid slightly cracked to prevent musty odors.
