It’s always a bit stressful when a package seems stuck in "tracking limbo." To help you navigate the shipping process, we’ve broken down the most common tracking statuses and what they actually mean for your order.
1. Status: "Label Created" or "Carrier Awaiting Package"
The Situation: We have picked, packed, and boxed your order! A shipping label has been printed, and the package is sitting safely on our loading dock waiting for the carrier (UPS, FedEx, or USPS) to pick it up.
Why hasn't it moved? Carriers don't always scan every package the moment they toss it onto the truck. Sometimes, the first scan doesn't happen until the package reaches a major sorting hub.
When to reach out: If you don't see a tracking update after 2–3 business days, feel free to contact our Customer Service team. We’ll cross-reference your order with our other outgoing shipments to make sure everything is on track.
2. Status: "Scanned," but the Progress has Stalled
The Situation: Your package was moving along great, but now it hasn't updated in a few days.
Common Causes: This is usually due to "real world" hiccups like local weather delays, staffing shortages at a specific hub, a damaged label that needs manual sorting, or simply a missed scan at a transfer point.
The 5-Day Rule: Most "stuck" packages start moving again on their own within a few days. However, if there has been no movement for 5 consecutive business days, we officially consider the package "lost in transit."
Need it urgently? If your brew day is fast approaching and you can't wait out the 5-day window, reach out to us. We’ll do our best to find a solution to get you brewing on time.
3. Status: "Delivered" (For International Shipments Only)
The Situation: You are tracking an international order, and it suddenly says "Delivered" to a city within the United States.
Don't panic! Your package hasn't been sent to the wrong person.
The Export Process: When shipping internationally via USPS, packages are often "Delivered" to a specialized International Processing Hub or an export branch.
What happens next: Once the hub receives it, they handle the official export paperwork and hand it off to the international carrier. From there, it will begin its journey through customs and eventually to your doorstep. Your tracking should resume once it clears the export stage.
A Few Quick Reminders:
Business Days: Remember that Saturday, Sunday, and major holidays do not count as "business days" for shipping updates.
Check Your Porch: If a package says "Delivered" domestically but you don't see it, check with neighbors or behind planters first—carriers get creative with "safe hiding spots!"
