⚠️ IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Only the Pro Outdoor model is specifically rated for seamless under-counter assembly. Standard models such as the V2, Deluxe V2, and Double Wide require a minimum of 4 inches of clearance on both rear and side walls to operate safely. These units generate significant heat that must be allowed to dissipate, trapping them under a counter without this ventilation may lead to system failure and is not recommended.

If you are planning to integrate your Komos Kegerator into your kitchen or bar cabinetry, proper planning is essential to ensure a perfect pour and a long-lasting appliance. Below are the spatial and technical requirements for a successful built-in installation.

1. Critical Dimensions

Before cutting your cabinetry, note the physical size of the unit. The height of the unit changes depending on whether you keep the top cover:

  • Height with Stainless Steel Top Cover: 35.43 inches.

  • Height without Stainless Steel Top Cover: 34.375 inches.

  • Width: 23.85 inches.

  • Depth: 24.9 inches.

Cabinet Height Note: If your internal cabinet height is less than 35.5 inches, you must remove the stainless steel top cover before installation.

2. Ventilation Requirements

The Komos dispenser "breathes" from the grill located below the front door.

  • Airflow: Ensure the front of the unit is completely unobstructed.

  • Heat Sources: Keep the dispenser away from other heat-generating appliances (like ovens or dishwashers) to maintain cooling efficiency.

3. Countertop & Mounting Specs

When mounting the beer tower directly to your countertop, you must align it perfectly with the fridge below to create an insulated air channel.

Insulated Channel

You will need to bridge the gap between the top of the fridge and the top of your counter:

  • Required Materials: A 3-inch outer diameter (OD) PVC pipe and matching insulation pipe.

  • The Calculation: Measure the height of your counter’s top surface (m) and the height of the beer fridge’s top (n)The length of your pipe (lshould be exactly l = m - n.

  • The Hole: You must cut a 3-inch diameter hole in the countertopThis hole must be located exactly above the large opening on the top of the dispenser.

4. Installation Pro-Tips

  • Leveling: Ensure the floor is flat. If the unit is tilted, it will become noisy during operationAdjust the four legs to the same height to stabilize the unit.

  • Electrical: Plan for power and plug the unit in before sliding it into the cabinetry. Ideally, switch off the outlets breaker to avoid powering the kegerator preemptively.

  • Avoid Long Bolts: When securing the beer tower to the counter, do not use long bolts that protrude significantly underneath. These can snag on the fridge when you try to push it into place or make it impossible to remove the tower later.

  • Seal the Joints: Use neutral glass glue (silicone) to seal the PVC pipe jointsThis prevents cold air from leaking out, ensuring your beer stays chilled all the way to the faucet.

5. Settling Period

If the kegerator required tilting or laying on its side for installation, do not plug it in immediately and allow time for the coolant to stabilizeAllow the unit to stand upright for at least 3 hours before turning on the power
